On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Hamblen County Foundation for Educational Excellence and Achievement (“HC*EXCELL”), welcome to HC*EXCELL’s website. Please take a few minutes to review our history, mission and vision. Since 1990, our program of work has migrated from grant administration to a focus on facilitating collaborative support for public education. A major goal for this effort is to increase awareness of the importance of the link between an educated citizenry and a healthy economy. The economic health of our community depends heavily on this simple notion and we invite your support.

Our Vision

It is the vision of HC*EXCELL through the Hamblen County P-16 Council to bring together stakeholders from the private and public sector to promote and develop competent, caring, and qualified educators in grades P-16; to strengthen connections, communication and smooth transitions to improve student learning, parent knowledge and community commitment/involvement at all levels; and to increase public involvement and awareness of the link between an educated citizenry and a healthy economy.
