P-16 Council
HC*Excell's Mission is to support and promote student learning. As the organization matured, its Board of Directors began identifying collaborative methods for positively affecting student progress. The development of programs and efforts to increase student learning, community awareness and public value for education became a natural progression of the foundation's mission.
The facilitation of the birth of the Hamblen County P-16 Council as a vehicle for coordinating programming and creating partnerships to advocate for quality education in Hamblen County was a natural follow-up to the 2001-2003 Building a Knowledge Community collaborative engagement process.
