Youth Leadership Hamblen County

The High School Leadership (or Teen Leadership) program began as an in-school (high school level) class in the Hamblen County School System in March 2005. Teachers of the class went through a specialized program of instruction.

In 2018, it was transitioned into an out-of-school program and is now run by a community advisory council. The Youth Leadership Hamblen County (YLHC) program, a student leadership development program, provides a year-long experience for Morristown East and West High juniors. It is an intensive study of our community, its history, opportunities, and challenges.
